Dropping Anchor

Smiling as I make another reference to boats. My Dad loved boats and stopping at small harbours was a must when on holidays. 😊 Happy memories.
I did think of todays title being ‘Pit Stop’ but decided dropping anchor better suited to what I am about to share with you all. Pit Stop suggests a short halt, but after great deal of prayer and consideration I have decided it would be wise to drop anchor until September. Not an easy decision, but due to many reasons, I have decided not to continue with the walk until after the school holidays. I will do odd few days between now and end July but the hot weather along with vehicle and knee problems have caused quite a delay. I still have part of South Cornwall, South Devon and Dorset coast to walk yet and its not worth trying to get parking etc during the summer holidays and it would be logistical nightmare during August. Leaving it until schools are back in September will give me time to get my joints and my van sorted and plan the logistics for remainder of walk without rushing.
Not so long ago I would have felt a failure and been really hard on myself. I would have worried what people would say, but now I know its ok to take a break. We are so good at putting ourselves under pressure aren’t we? Well I used to be that is. Lol I was a champion at it!
I will continue writing my blog as I quite like sharing my thoughts with you all and I do have a few new adventures coming up. Its so good to want to look forward, and to have things to look forward to. All will be revealed 😊
