Toes. Those 5 digits at the end of our feet. Personally I have never taken much notice of mine. Clipped my nails when required and may have painted with nail varnish few times. I certainly didn’t know anything about their flexion or real purpose until this morning. What an eye opener my appointment was. To cut a long story short, my big toe on left foot had no flexion and that been massive contributary cause of knee joint pain. So after some painful treatment on sole of my foot, massaging and stretching, black tape on various parts of my left leg and sole of my foot, there is no reason I cant continue with the walk. Yay! Yippee!! I will need to do a bit of rejigging of my itinerary so not doing as many miles per day for while, but looking much more hopeful that I will complete the walk. It may take longer but as long as I finish by end July, that’s no problem.
Another plus to this mornings appointment is the advice which should also help a great deal with my ability to ride. So much of it made complete sense about how the body works and changing simple things can make all the difference.
Good thing its never too late to start taking care of your body. (Well that’s my theory anyway). Having been someone who didn’t, I now watch what I eat, try to find natural remedies for things and take vitamin supplements as necessary. No I am not going to start going to the gym! I can do it all outdoors while walking. 😊
What I am going to do though is take more care of my big toe. Lol Well all my toes actually.
