Poles apart

I must apologise to anyone who walks with poles, for wondering why you bother and how daft it can look. Today I used them for the first time and they do make walking easier on gradients and descents. I did have a giggle to myself. Not only because, I felt silly , but also at the ways this challenge has forced me well out of my comfort zone. Gone is the mouse trying to hide from everything and everyone. Now I drawing attention to myself in my bright orange vest top , hat with badges on and using poles. At one moment I heard Ken as clear as anything say 'You look ridiculous Mum', and pictured his cheeky grin.
I thought about taking photograph of some of the wild flowers to show you all, but then thought better of it. There are thousands of photos online of wild flowers and a photo wouldn't do justice to the moment I stopped and admired them. I will post some photos and video clips, but I am aware that some of my followers maybe visually impaired so will stick to written word as much as possible.
I took this photograph today which I hope will bring a touch of the countryside to your day.
